Georg co-founded Photon Energy in 2008 and was the company’s CFO until 2011. In that year he was appointed CEO and has since spearheaded the group’s expansion in Europe and overseas.

Georg has extensive knowledge of the solar energy industry as well as in international finance. Before Photon Energy, Georg established Central European Capital in 2000, a regional finance and strategy advisory boutique. He has also held various positions in financial services in London, Zurich and Prague.

Georg is an Austrian national and holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School.

Michael developed one of the first large photovoltaic installations in the Czech Republic before co-founding Photon Energy in 2008. Michael was CEO of Photon Energy until relocating to Australia to start Photon Energy Australia in 2011. Apart from growing the Australian business, Michael is instrumental in driving Photon Energy’s off-grid and solar-hybrid power solutions.

Before Photon Energy, Michael ran an investment boutique arranging Eurobond issues and offering sell-side M&A advisory. Between 1994 and 2004, he was an analyst and head of fixed income sales at ING and Commerzbank Securities in Prague.

Michael is an Australian and Czech national and holds an MBA from the US Business School in Prague.

David is a British national who has gained extensive experience in multinational companies working in top managerial positions. 

David is a British Chartered Accountant (FCA), after qualifying with KPMG in London, and has an LLB (Hons) Degree in Law from Queen Mary University of London. His early career was with British Petroleum, where he was quickly promoted through accounting, controlling and M&A roles to become Finance Director of QIT Fer et Titane in Montreal. After this, he was appointed Group Finance Director of BP Consumer Products Division, a business with manufacturing and sales operations in six European countries.  After leaving BP, Mr. Forth held senior finance roles with BAT, Schneider Electric and Adecco, working in Brazil, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands, before moving into interim management. 

David’s interim management career includes Finance Director and CFO roles with Mothercare, Costa Coffee, Dr Martens, Eddie Stobart and AB Sugar. Prior to joining Photon Energy Group, he was Interim CFO of Cake Box plc and then Eurowag (W.A.G. Payment Solutions plc); both of these companies are quoted on the London Stock Exchange.

Rick joined Photon Energy Group in 2022, bringing significant experience in advanced business operations from organisations such as General Dynamics, Verizon, and ADP Employer Services, where he worked as senior director of client services for the EMEA region. In this client facing role, Rick led over 450+ associates providing services for 250 international corporate clients.  

He is a proven cross-functional leader who effectively builds and develops multicultural high-performance teams fostering a customer centric mentality, and delivery of complex large-scale projects maximising organisational efficiency that delivers long-term business growth and profitability. 

Rick is originally from the USA and holds a bachelor´s degree from the University of Rhode Island. He studied in the International Engineering Program as a dual major in Industrial Engineering and German.
